I am an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the San Francisco State University (SFSU). I received my Ph.D degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Connecticut (UConn) in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. John Chandy. I obtained my MS degree in Computer Hardware Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University (formerly National University of Iran) in 2013, and my bachelor’s degree in Computer Hardware Engineering from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (Rank 1st in 2017 & 2018 in the country according to the results of Times Higher Education World University Rankings), Iran, in 2011. In 2017, I received Best Technical Paper Award in 30th International Conference on VLSI Design (VLSID) & 16th International Conference on Embedded Systems. My research interests include Hardware-Intrinsic Security, Machine Learning in Hardware Security, Internet-of Things (IoT) & CPS Security, and Embedded System Design Security. I am serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine (ICEM). My goal is to recruit more female to the School of Engineering at SF State. I believe women can break barriers in engineering fields especially in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Currently, I am an active member of Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) group of College of Science and Engineering (COSE) at San Francisco State University.
